working for the post office, and later by working as a social worker. And
he even went back to school for a year at the University of Washington
School of Social Work. But he grew weary of what he called the "sawdust
mountains of paperwork" that went with the social welfare work... endless
forms... and also the puny amounts of support that there actually was for
the poor people he was trying to help. It really frustrated him. Finally

Bolling, Samuel was 19 in 1 848 when they set out for California. (pg. 11) Samuel was 26 when he di ed July 22, 1856.

"Tales of a Texas Ranch" page 2 tells us, "These young people were marri ed on August 12, 1807 and went to live on "Bolling Hill." The will of Samu el P. Bolling was probated in August, 1833, according to the following, wh ich tells us that they had twenty-six years of happy married life. He was married to Susan Eugenia Scott on 4 Mar 1869 in Mississippi. Children were: John William Bolling, Roscoe Randolph Bolling, Unknown Bolling, Unknown Bolling, Robert Scott Bolling, Richard Elliott Bolling Dr. .
